Do you want to be fearlessly (but gently) challenged?
Yesterday I was ‘talking’ (text-typing) to a very dear friend on Skype. Sometimes we have very penetrating conversations, typing back and forth about our lives. We really understand each other – and sometimes the depth of what we’re able to communicate and support each other with, in a relatively short space of time, blows me away.
My friend was saying how she loves reading my blog, and she finds my topics deeply challenging – she says they require some serious self-reflection and that it’s not the kind of stuff she reads elsewhere. Her concern for me was that I might push potential clients away because of the challenging nature of what I write – so that before they’ve even had an experience of me, they might be turned off. She had thought my blog would be a gentle entry into the topic of food-eating-body related issues, rather than something that can be quite confronting.
My reply to my friend was that the purpose of my blog is primarily to serve and give value and also for people to get to know me, so if they want to have a free Discovery Session, or sign up to work with me, there won’t be any big surprises! I told her that I work with people who want more for themselves than to lose 5, 10 or 15 (pounds, kilos, stones or dress sizes). They are willing to dig deep and stretch for what it is they want to create in their lives. Interestingly, just about everyone who comes my way wants peace: with themselves, with their body and with food (good thing this is Peaceful Eating then isn’t it!?). In fact, they want peace, full stop.
It’s no small thing, wanting peace in your life. It goes beyond anything material.
And as a coach-mentor, it requires me to fearlessly challenge you!
Your conceptions
Your attitudes
Your behaviour
Your motivations
Your decisions… and more
Not with any judgement – but challenged they must be, if I’m to help you get what you want most in your life.
Having said that, there’s no point in writing stuff that isn’t landing with you, or that doesn’t answer your questions! So please do let me know in the comments, or by email what you want to know more about or understand. If I can help, I will!
Hi, I'm Vania.
I'm passionate about helping you break free from the exhausting cycle of yo-yo dieting, body shame, overeating, bingeing, and emotional eating.
For decades, I was at war with my body and food. It wasn't until I found an approach which didn't involve strict rules, diets and a focus on weight, that my relationship with food and my body transformed into one of ease and peace. There’s a lightness in living when food no longer holds power over your thoughts. If you're seeking that kind of freedom — where food becomes simple and life feels full — I’d love to walk that journey with you.
